Bryan Anderson graduated Tufts in 1992 and has spent his entire 30 years since working for Atlantic Retail. From his first position as an intern at a then regional brokerage firm, he has risen to the position of managing partner, opened 8 more offices nationally, with over 100 employees involved in all aspects of the retail and consumer real estate ecosystem.
Throughout his career Bryan has worked with numerous chains - whether national retailers such as Target, where Bryan has been involved in the entire New England landscape (over 100 stores); or Petco, for which he has overseen their entire New England and Southeast rollouts (over 400 stores); to Bob’s Discount Furniture, for whom Bryan and his team helped locate and occupy their first 25 stores on the west coast. Bryan’s expertise in the sector ranges from helping companies formulate their growth strategies to determining the actual locations which will help them achieve their plans. His considerable experience encompasses projects with companies of all sizes and product categories, with vastly different needs and goals, from national warehouse clubs like Costo, and large format retailers like Bed Bath and Beyond and Best Buy, to high density food retailers like Starbucks and Cava, to new economy distribution models like Tesla, among others.
Beyond his prowess with real estate, Bryan has developed a very informed understanding of market dynamics that impact businesses - whether it be deal structure or cash flow modeling to nuanced aspects like distribution exclusives and contract flexibility, Bryans’ work on behalf of countless consumer companies provides a remarkable resource to brands old and new as they establish or refine their go-to-market strategies. In addition, having invested in numerous real estate transactions personally during his career, Bryan has developed a keen eye for the kinds of relevant, subtle analysis that can be the difference between a compelling opportunity and a cautionary tale.
Away from the office, Bryan enjoys golfing, fishing, skiing, and any and all travel. Prior to attending Tufts, Bryan attended The Roxbury Latin School, where he currently serves as a Trustee. He lives in Westwood, MA with his wife April and their three children.
